Sage Centre Launches Budget-Friendly Therapy Starting at RM50

by Shreeya

In a major step to make mental healthcare more affordable, Sage Centre has introduced a tiered pricing model offering therapy sessions starting from just RM50. The move aims to ensure that more Malaysians can access professional support, regardless of their income.

Yasmin Khan, founder of Sage Centre and a clinical psychologist, said the initiative is about removing financial barriers to mental health care. She hopes this approach will position Sage Centre as one of the most accessible mental health providers in the country.

“We’ve always believed therapy should be available to anyone who needs it, not just those who can afford it,” said Yasmin. “Mental health struggles can affect anyone, and care shouldn’t depend on how much money you have.”

Under the new pricing structure, clients can choose sessions that fit their budgets:

Yasmin emphasized that all clients, regardless of the tier they choose, will receive the same professional and compassionate care. “This model is designed to support people both emotionally and financially,” she said. “Our commitment to quality therapy remains strong across all levels.”

Breaking Stigma, Encouraging Growth

For Yasmin, the initiative goes beyond affordability. “It’s also about breaking the stigma around therapy and showing that help is for everyone,” she explained. “You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. It can support your growth, help you manage challenges, and improve your overall well-being.”

Malaysia’s First Fully Outpatient Mental Health Facility

Located in Subang Jaya, Sage Centre is Malaysia’s first fully outpatient treatment facility for mental health and addiction. It provides therapy for children, teens, adults, couples, and families. The centre also offers outpatient recovery programs, team-building workshops, and diagnostic assessments.

The new pricing model is part of Sage Centre’s broader mission to reshape how Malaysians access mental health care.

“Whether you’re a student, a professional, or a caregiver, getting support is now more possible than ever,” said Yasmin.

A Step Toward Greater Accessibility

As public awareness of mental health continues to grow in Malaysia, Yasmin hopes this step will help remove both financial and cultural barriers. She believes that therapy should feel like an option for everyone.

“Quality mental health support should never feel out of reach,” she said. “And now, it doesn’t have to be.”
